Esthete is a french brand of clothing designed especially for cycling in the city. In hopes to add to their rider’s visibility they have added LEDs to their Eclaireur jacket. Already the do it all of motorcycle jackets, the LEDs add that special “je ne sai que” to this rain and the wind proof, snug fitting jacket.
The specially designed LED light system is supposed to make the rider visible from up to 328 feet (100 m) away (weather permitting). The jacket uses two white Ultrabright LEDs on the chest portion of the jacket and five red Ultrabright LEDs on the back. This system is powered by a lithium-polymer battery that lasts up to 20 hours with a 3.5 hour charge. Watch the jackets in action in the video below, sorry there doesn’t seem to be any exposure of their LEDs in the video.
